ChampionX has an immediate need for a Chemistry Lab Student located in Calgary. The Chemistry Lab Student is responsible for a variety of routine and non-routine laboratory operations and test method development. This is a 4-month internship, set to start in January 2026. What You Will Do: Routine quality control testing of internally submitted samples from our manufacturing facility Sample preparation and disposition Complete instrument calibration and maintenance procedures Maintain the calibration files as a requirement of our ISO 9001 Certification Calculate material additions to batches based on test results, and assisting in batch troubleshooting activities Enter and maintain SAP data affecting product quality Position Details: Candidate must reside in Calgary, AB or the surrounding area Hours of work: 40 hours/week and some overtime as needed. Work hours: 6 AM -2:30 PM No immigration sponsorship is available for this role This is a safety-sensitive position, and the successful candidate will be required to complete drug and alcohol testing This is a lab based role. Internship duration: January – April 2026 Minimum Qualifications: Currently enrolled in a post-secondary institute and have completed 1st, 2nd, or 3rd year in: Chemical Technologist, chemistry, science Degree, but open to other majors. Superior analytical skills combined with initiative, sound judgment, flexibility, and decision-making competence Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Experience working in a lab environment Preferred Qualifications: Previous internships/Co-op experience are preferred but not required.
