Job Description
The Revenue Management System team is responsible for developing and implementing strategies and techniques which optimizes the company's all revenue streams. Therefore, it focuses on the use of predictive analytics and machine learning techniques to address business problems in all functional areas involving revenue forecast, revenue generation, revenue performance and revenue decision support. It also guides different Revenue Management teams through the best practices in terms of forecasting, processes, systems and tools.
In collaboration with the Manager, Optimization Solutions Implementation, we are looking for a motivated and curious Operations Research Developer to join our backend development team. This role offers a hands-on opportunity to work on the creation of microservices, the use of Apache Kafka for real-time data processing, and the integration of artificial intelligence and machine learning models into scalable systems. You will collaborate with experienced developers and data scientists to design intelligent and distributed applications.
Responsibilities :
Assist in designing and developing backend microservices using modern frameworks and languages.
Support the implementation of Apache Kafka for real-time data streaming and event-driven architecture.
Collaborate with data science teams to integrate models into backend services.
Help build and maintain APIs and data pipelines for OR workflows.
Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation.
Learn and apply best practices in microservices architecture, backend development
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
University degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience with backend programming languages such as Python, Node.js, or Java.
Basic understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful GraphQL APIs.
Exposure to Apache Kafka or other messaging/streaming platforms.
Familiarity with databases (SQL and/or NoSQL).
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Strong willingness to learn and grow in a collaborative environment.
Nice to have
Experience with containerization tools (e.g., Docker).
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Understanding data processing tools (e.g., Pandas, Airflow).
Interest in AI/ML technologies and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
