Your Opportunity
Stantec is seeking a motivated Structural Engineer in Training to support the delivery of complex Ports and Marine Terminals projects across British Columbia. The role offers hands-on experience contributing to all phases of project execution including planning and design while developing core structural engineering technical competencies pertaining to marine infrastructure.
Your Key Responsibilities
Provide structural EIT support to engineers on varying sized projects.
Assist in reviewing drawings, drafting technical reports, memorandums and other technical documents.
Conduct material quantity take-offs, analysis/calculations, hand sketches, CAD Drafting, and other EIT support tasks.
Perform contract administration, coordination, contract development and other contract support tasks.
Support Project Manager(s) / Director(s) in project delivery through initiation, planning, execution, monitor and control, and close-out activities and other PM support tasks.
Participate and coordinate project team activities and interact effectively with Clients, Contractors, Engineers, Project Managers, and other consultants.
Coordinate and participate in technical proposal writing and other business development activities.
With guidance, assist with the preparation and distributions of high quality, accurate and timely documents such as: agendas, reports, minutes, communication logs, change management, and other required documentation.
Some travel to project sites may be required from time to time.
