Job Description
The IT Program Manager (ITPM) is a high-impact leader! The ITPM leads teams to deliver large project(s) that span across one or more divisions, and are highly transparent to very senior leadership. Chip in to process improvement initiatives as it relates to improving project delivery. In some cases, projects are large enough that the ITPM may also coordinate the day-to-day activities of a Project Coordinator (PC). This person has a solid understanding of leading projects in regulated environments, such as GxP/SOX/HIIPA/GDPR.

Responsibilities:
Provide leadership for distributed teams. and will supervise staff performance and assist in the completion of performance reviews
Successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for one major or several medium initiatives
Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating partnership, innovation and excellence
Drive improvements of standard methodologies, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities
Prepare estimates and detailed project plan for all phases of the project
Provide regular, recurring status reporting
Demonstrate functional acuity to support how solutions will address customer goals while maintaining alignment with industry standards
Participate and/or drive feasibility studies, vendor selections and proposals for evaluation by appropriate key partners
Assist in dispute resolution or mediation, as needed
Lead all aspects of project engagement from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, and change
Monitor and control to resolve issues, dependencies and the critical path
Develop and deliver status reports, proposals, documentation, communications, and presentations to various audiences, including project team, sponsors, CIO and key partners
Define success criteria and monitor throughout the investment lifecycle
Coach, mentor, empower and oversee project team(s)
Ensure that projects are proceeding according to scope, schedule, budget and quality standards, risks and issues are handled and mitigated.
Continue professional development to stay ahead of emerging technologies and methodologies

In your role as ITPM, we will work together on staffing and hiring of project managers. We will promote the development of junior PMs and coordinators as needed. Finally, you will serve as a trusted advisor to the Director, assisting in the execution of Portfolio Governance activities.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will exhibit strong leadership, supportive and motivational skills. They will lead up, across and down multiple business and technology functions. In this role, you will build and maintain strong relationships by engaging senior business leaders to establish credibility, pursue problems, build consensus and achieve objectives.
You will have experience writing budget proposals and working directly with vendors, while leading projects on-time, on-schedule and within budget. Team sizes will vary, and you will be faced with motivating varying team sizes, including internal and external resources, while holding the team accountable for performance. You are:

Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, or relevant field of study is required, with 10+ years of PM experience, including tracking and planning projects. Demonstrated ability in healthcare (e.g. Biotech, Pharma, Medical Equipment, etc.) is essential to success. We will require proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and SharePoint, and standard project management tools and methodologies, e.g. Agile, SCRUM, SDLC / Waterfall.
