Job Description
The Public Markets Middle Office Settlements team is accountable for ensuring the matching, confirmation and settlement of listed transactions, OTC Derivatives. The group provides support for a range of products including, , FX, variance swaps, total return swaps, OTC options, credit default swaps and interest rate swaps.
The Analyst will be expected to provide quality support for the affirmation and confirmation of OTC derivatives and/or related settlements (Resets, Unwinds, Premiums, etc.). This support will consist of timely matching of economic affirmation, trade confirmation and/or settlement of OTC trades governed by ISDA Agreements. Additionally, the Sr Analyst will be expected to work with counterparties and internal teams to address and resolve breaks and disputes within prescribed timelines.
The position will require interaction with various investment & operations professionals via multiple communication channels as well as superior time-management skills. Team-Specific Accountabilities:
Ensure trade economics are complete and accurate on all new trades and amended trades across all internal systems and trade matching platforms
Review & execute short form and long form confirmation documents
Review and settle upcoming derivative cash flows with external counterparties
Coordinate trade breaks within internal and external business partners and manage them to resolution
Contribute to the development of a robust operating model, built on best practices, for OTC and listed derivatives
Participate in enhancements of daily processes to create scalability & process efficiency
Partners to build and maintain relationships with internal and external business partners
Qualifications

Experience or demonstratable knowledge of middle office or investment operations, preferably with a focus on derivative products and post-trade lifecycle management, including compiling & performing daily reconciliations as well as settlements.
Demonstrated critical thinking and intellectual curiosity, with the ability to analyze complex issues, challenge assumptions, and identify opportunities for process improvement and risk mitigation.
Experience with any of the following: Murex, GTSS, MarkitWire, DTCC, ICE, LCH, MS Excel, Simcorp, Bloomberg, Traiana, UDAs or SQL Developer
Proven ability to structure communications, both written & verbal, to raise and resolve issues across all levels of the organisation
Self-motivated, agile, and the ability to approach a constantly changing business & environment through innovation and creativity
Demonstrable experience with successfully managing competing priorities & deliverables
