Dispatcher - Windsor, ON Location: Windsor, ON Job Type: Full-Time Job Summary: First Student is seeking a reliable and organized Dispatcher to join our Ottawa team. The Dispatcher plays a key role in ensuring safe, efficient, and timely transportation services by coordinating driver assignments, managing route changes, and responding to operational needs. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate daily driver assignments and route coverage. Monitor radio and GPS systems to track vehicle locations and respond to incidents. Communicate effectively with drivers, maintenance staff, and management. Handle last-minute changes, absences, and emergencies with professionalism. Maintain accurate records of routes, incidents, and driver attendance. Support driver check-in/check-out procedures and ensure compliance with schedules. Assist with customer inquiries and service requests. Collaborate with the Location Manager to improve operational efficiency. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education is an asset. Previous experience in dispatch, transportation, or logistics preferred. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Proficiency with computer systems and dispatch software.
