Working closely with Human Resources and Talent Acquisition, this position is responsible for assisting in the recruiting process, administrative functions, employee relations and employee communications. This is a key role to support the national 2026 Co-op Student program. Specific Responsibilities Responsible for full cycle recruitment: o Adheres to the policies, procedures and standards relating to recruitment ensuring consistency within ALS; o Develops and updates interview guides for positions, keeping in mind skills, competencies and ALS culture; o Screens resumes, conducts telephone pre-screening, and assists with final selection; o Coordinates interviews with hiring managers; o Assists with referrals, requisitions, postings and reference checks; o Develops job descriptions/job postings for job boards and internal websites; o Promotes career opportunities through job fairs, partnerships, schools, communities, and resource groups; o Prepares offer letters and makes offers to candidates; o Ensures completion of onboarding of new hires; o Tracking and collection of completed paperwork; Supports new hire orientation program; Assists in the response to routine calls & e-mails from employees; Responds to and complete requests for information from outside sources (including reference checks, personnel file requests, wage information, etc.); Maintains and updates employee files; Ensures that all Human Resource forms, policies, manuals etc. are up-to-date; Assists in organizing employee relations events, internal employee communications and HR intranet content; Supports organizational development initiatives including orientation programs and performance reviews; Assists in organizing employee events and internal employee communication; May assist with other Human Resources projects; Observe established safety regulations and comply with all ALS health and safety policies and procedures; Other duties as assigned. Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal; Strong customer service focus, interpersonal and organizational abilities; Ability to maintain confidentiality; Demonstrated judgement, creativity, integrity and ability to problem solve; Strong communication skills written and verbal; Fluency in French an asset; Advanced computer skills including Microsoft office apps; Ability to effectively handle escalations and time critical issues. Required Qualifications Previous customer service or office administration experience required; Completion of a diploma or university degree or equivalent is preferred; Previous HR or Recruiting experience is an asset.
