We are seeking a School Nurse (RN or LPN) at our Wentworth Campus (Grade JK - 7) to provide coverage for a maternity leave starting January 12, 2026. The successful candidate will be a detail oriented, flexible, organized and empathetic individual who is looking to become a part of a vibrant educational community. This is a Part Time Contract position for 20 hours a week for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year.
Responsibilities
Respond to and manage emergent and non-emergent health concerns
Provide counselling services to students, parents, faculty and staff regarding mental and physical health concerns
Educate students, parents, faculty and staff regarding current trends in communicable diseases, general health and well-being, and prevention tactics for longevity
Review and maintain medical documentation as it applies to the health status of a student or faculty/staff member
Perform nursing procedures within licensed scope of practice and as per established nursing policies and procedures guidelines
Required qualifications
Current BCCNP registration in good standing as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
Valid Basic Life Support (HCP) Certification
A minimum 2 years experience in a pediatric setting and/or acute care setting
OFA 2 or 3 Certification an asset
Effective management skills and ability to prioritize tasks
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with colleagues
Discretion regarding the handling of sensitive and confidential information pertaining to student, parent, faculty and staff
Canadian residency and legally entitled to work in Canada

The annual hiring range for this position is from $29,153 to $32,776. Candidates with strong skills and experience may be considered for a higher starting salary.
