Interpret designs and layout to populate digital sets with appropriate props and environment assets.
Position, scale, and orient set elements to enhance visual storytelling, mood, and composition.
Collaborate with art direction to maintain consistency with the visual style of the project.
Ensure environments support character animation and camera movement while maintaining continuity and visual clarity.
Make creative and technical decisions to balance visual appeal with production efficiency.
Maintain organization and cleanliness of 3D scenes, using naming conventions and proper asset management.
Work closely with modeling, surfacing, and lighting departments to troubleshoot and optimize sets for downstream use.
Address notes from supervisors and iterate quickly based on feedback.
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in animated film, TV, or in a layout, environment, or set dressing role.
Strong understanding of composition, staging, and spatial awareness.
Proficiency in 3D software.
Familiarity with production asset management tools (e.g., Shotgun, Flow) and pipeline workflows.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment.
Pay Range: CAD $ 1400 - 1600 $ per week
