POSITION SUMMARY
Provide People Services to all levels of the organization and act as a front-line management contact and partner to employees and management in areas specific to staffing in recruitment and selection, policy and procedures, employee/labour relations, performance management, improvement programs, safety and health and immigration.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
· Coordinate and administer the recruitment and selection process including approvals, determining method of recruitment, preparation of job postings/advertisements, schedule and conduct interviews, reference checks, and prepare and negotiate employment offers.
· Maintain recruitment database, track recruitment tasks and statistics of recruitment.
· Investigate alternate recruitment solutions and work with external resources as required to ensure recruitment needs are met.
· Maintain and update human resource (HR) information systems and benefit systems with employee data including new hire, classification changes, wage/salary changes, and termination information.
· Program coordination and compliance; coordinate and administer the round table meetings, Orientation checklist, 30-day feedback and exit interview compliance, internet and email audits, years of service recognition program.
· Assist with the collection compliance and review of employee performance review’s (EPR’s) and salary administration information.
· Assist with salary market analysis, benchmarks for new and existing positions. Ensure requests to fill positions are in line with internal equity and industry standards within market.
· Assist in the development and rollout of required Human Resources policies and procedures. Review of Human Resources policies and procedures for required updates.
· Provide labour relations support and guidance to leadership and employees including interpretation of the collective bargaining agreement.
· Conduct HR investigations and HR related ethics complaints and provide direction to leadership and employees.
· Provide advice and guidance to employees and management regarding recruitment, performance management, employee relations, harassment/conflict, progressive discipline issues, policy interpretation and implementation, and employment standard and laws within the appropriate region.
· Identify organizational issues/areas of concern through analysis of general employee concerns and feedback including exit interview. Works closely with leadership team to provide feedback as well as recommendations for improvement.
· Provide guidance and support in respect to health and safety, claims management and return to work plans, and act as liaison between HR, employee and leadership.
· Responsible for planning and coordination of specialist events as assigned.
· Maintain employee files and the filing of related correspondence into employee files including performance management, and salary administration documentation.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
· Post-secondary education in a related human resources field or equivalent experience
· Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint
· Organizational, problem solver, planning and prioritizing, attention to detail
