Responsibilities
As a key member of a nationally recognized security company, the Security Guard will:
Apply decision-making and strong communication skills to all duties and responsibilities relating to security and safety.
Ensure that all safety and emergency procedures are followed.
Follow site-specific Post Orders and instructions from the Client Service Manager or Supervisor.
Conduct traffic and pedestrian control at site access points.
Patrol assigned areas on foot or in a vehicle to ensure personnel, building, and equipment safety.
Monitor the environment for safety infractions or hazards.
Watch for and report irregularities such as security breaches, facility hazards, and emergencies.
Offer assistance to any person in need and contact emergency responders when required.
Maintain confidentiality and integrity of all data and information.
Respond to inquiries and requests professionally and appropriately.
Operate two-way radio and computer applications effectively.
Act with professionalism, integrity, and an active interest in workplace safety.
Motivate, support, and inspire co-workers.
Must be willing to travel.
Must live within 1 hour of Slave Lake, AB.
Must be willing to work 12-hour shifts.
Availability for a variety of shifts including overnights and weekends.
Ability to obtain an Alberta Security License.
Valid Class 5 driver’s license and own vehicle.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to write comprehensive reports and maintain site logs.
Ability to make immediate decisions while maintaining composure in emergencies.
Discretion when handling confidential or private information.
Physically capable of walking 18–20 km and climbing stairs.
Authorized to legally work in Canada.
Certification: First Aid & CPR Level C.
Competitive wages ($26.01/hour).
