The Logistics Technician is responsible to ensure that any item that leaves the company gets to its destination on time and in good condition and receives all incoming shipments for processing into the system.

Your role as Logistic Technician
Verify integrity of orders, set, and pack outgoing items safeguarding their integrity by using appropriate supplies.
Prepare and compile all required shipping documentation for Canadian and International destinations; interacting with customers, brokers, and other third parties when needed.
Receive incoming shipments. Inspect received items to ensure the correct quantity is received and that they are in good condition. Communicate any issues to QC or receiving.
Ensure that incoming or outgoing shipment has all the legal or regulatory documentation required and physically meets any legal or regulatory requirements.
Support other areas on matter of shipping and receiving including managing RMA-related shipments. Estimate shipping costs in order to quote the customer.
Communicate the status of incoming and outgoing orders with suppliers and customers.
Develop and maintain SOP documentation to support the process. Record all incoming and outgoing orders.
Identify issues and opportunities for improvement on processes such as, jigs and tools.
Interact with relevant departments, such as Integration, QC, Manufacturing, Project Management and Engineering departments to coordinate any outgoing shipments.
To succeed in this role, you bring:
Experience with shipping, including international shipping from/to Canada/USA will be beneficial.
Formal training in shipping and shipping of dangerous goods will be beneficial.
Experience with shipping terminology and jargon and packaging and shipping best practices.
Experience managing shipping costs and courier contracts is an asset.
Related certification will be an asset.
Experience in QC is an asset.
Ability to lift items up to 25Kg is a requirement.
Experience with Excel, Word & ERP systems will be an asset.
