How will you make an impact:
You will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks, including food preparation, grill operations, customer service, maintaining cleanliness, and handling cash transactions to ensure high-quality food service experience.
As a Student General Help, you will:
· Prepare and assemble a variety of food items, including salads, sandwiches, pizzas, and grill items, following recipes, portion sizes, and HSQA requirements.
· Assist production stations with food preparation and ensure all required products are thawed and ready for service in compliance with HSQA requirements.
· Operate grills, fryers, ovens, and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area at all times, ensuring equipment and utensils are in good working condition.
· Record and maintain temperature logs, production records, and cleaning schedules as required.
· Restock and replenish food, condiments, and supplies to ensure smooth and continuous service.
· Serve customers in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner while answering inquiries and resolving minor concerns.
· Operate the cash register or POS system accurately and handle cash transactions according to company policies.
· Follow portion control measures and ensure consistent plate presentation and product quality.
· Support team members and supervisors as needed to ensure a successful meal service.
About you:
· Able to work in a fast-paced environment and both independently and in team setting.
· Excellent decision-making ability, problem solving, and customer service.
· Excellent command of English, both verbal and written and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
· Able to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils.
· Previous food service experience is considered an asset.
· Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position, including regularly lifting/moving up to 10 pounds.The Benefits
