The Material Scheduler/Analyst is responsible to provide the customer(s) with parts to meet the release requirements. This is achieved by
monitoring the releases and ordering sufficient raw materials and related items in a Just-In-Time manner and maintaining accurate inventory levels.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitor finished goods and component inventories on a daily basis.
Lead cycle count program of all BOM and consumable parts
Maintenance and monitoring of customer releases through daily customer contact.
Creation of sample order and monitoring of ECN/new program changes or launches.
Monitoring of daily expendable/returnable packing requirements ensuring no downtime occurs on the shop floor.
Data entry for new customer orders/purchase orders on fabricated parts from suppliers.
Conduct month end inventory counts and maintain accurate daily records of safety stock levels.
Perform daily CUM reconciliation for all customer and vendor parts
Receive and respond to incoming customer communications.
Order processing of all customer orders as received by telephone, mail, fax, EDI, Customer software DDL, SMART, I –Supply, Web Supply etc. using the Management Information System (MIS).
Regular contact and timely follow-up in response to customer queries.
Co-ordination of orders with scheduling, production, shipping, outside sales representatives and customers.
Monitor SOP and EOP of programs to communicate ramp schedule and initiate claims/prevention of obsolescence.
Performing daily billing and invoice procedure.
Regular filing and records maintenance including system updates and processing of any credit notes.
Maintain customer complaint log
Continuous improvement.
All other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
College Diploma in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
Excellent customer relations skills and telephone manner, and organizational skills.
Computer literate in an MRP/JIT environment and experience with AS400/CMS software an asset.
Strong computer skills, Intermediate to Advanced level competency in Microsoft office,
Product, pricing and customer knowledge including accessing information on customer websites (Covisint, DDL, GM Powersupply, I –Supply, Toyota Kanbans, etc.)
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, 5S, and Kaizen.
Understanding of TS16949 requirements and work procedures
