Role Overview
Reporting to the Manager of Communications & Public Relations, the Internal Communications Coordinator will play a crucial role in continuing to foster a strong connection with our network of team members in Northland Properties and associated hospitality brands. This position will work closely alongside the Senior Manager of Communications & Public Relations to implement internal communication strategies, create relevant content for internal channels, and collaborate with various departments to achieve organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
As part of your main duties, you will be
Assisting in the implementation and management of communication technologies, such as shared internal platforms.
Collaborating with other departments to ensure communication is consistent and aligned with company messaging.
Developing and executing a variety of materials for use internally, including emails, newsletters, virtual updates, and presentations, ensuring clear, concise, and engaging messaging.
Maintaining and enhancing the company's internal communication channels (e.g. email distribution lists and SharePoint access).
Supporting the organization and coordination of company events or activities, ensuring effective promotion.
Supporting engaging and ongoing internal communications that share our brand values of “We Love People, We Love Growth, We Love Connection & We Love Challenge”.
Providing internal communications counsel and additional support to brands when needed.
Ensuring compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and regulations.
Participating in special projects and initiatives as a communications support.
Liaising with our charitable partners on communicating major donations and fundraisers.
Performing other role-related requests as assigned.
About You
We are seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and personable individual with at least 2 years of post-secondary experience working in internal communications or a related field. You love that every day is different and relish the opportunity to authentically connect with others. You are excited about creating a shared vision, challenging the status quo, and working diligently to improve on what we did yesterday.
Along with this;
You must have an excellent grasp of the English language, accompanied by a high level of written and verbal skills.
You can collaborate with different departments and stakeholders effectively to complete a shared task successfully.
You understand that sometimes we work in a fast-paced environment that requires us to have strong organizational and time-management skills.
You have previously developed and managed various content formats, including email, newsletters, social media posts, and presentations.
You have a good working knowledge of internal communication channels and best practices, including shared internal communications platforms, email, and social media.
You are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and have experience with other relevant software platforms.
You are a self-starter; you relish the opportunity to identify needs and act, without being explicitly told to do so.
You’re comfortable with the unknown. We’re rapidly growing, and you will need to be comfortable working in an environment that is continuing to evolve.

Salary: $55,000 – $65,000

Experience working in project management and/or event planning is a plus.
