The North American Reconciliation Department is responsible for the reconciliation of all cash, ledger and share accounts of all clients held funds and assets. These accounts pertain to all Operational Business Lines across Computershare. Administrators are required to perform high volumes of numerical functions and play a major role in adhering to applicable regulations and the detection of financial fraud.

This role is responsible for the timely completion of the reconciliation of cash and stock accounts, as well as issued and approved capital, operated for and on behalf of our clients across all Operational business lines. All breaks and resolution records should be complete and up to date with the appropriate annotation of anomalies so that accurate and timely reporting can be provided both internally to the North American Reconciliation Team as well as to the wider business including Senior Management.
Administrators play a major role in the prevention and detection of financial fraud and losses and for ensuring the account reconciliation procedures adhere to regulations, client contractual stipulations and internal service level agreements with the various Operational teams.
Handle high volumes of routine transactions/activities ensuring a high level of accuracy and adhering to internal service level agreements with the various Operational teams.
Adhere to procedures while also focusing on improving efficiencies within the established task.
Take ownership and respond to standard operational queries. Escalating where appropriate.
Maintain up to date process notes in line with any changes to working practice.
Liaise with other departments within Computershare to understand and resolve differences.
Comply with Operational risk and Regulatory Control policies and procedures.
Carry out User Acceptance Testing for system changes as required.
What will you bring to the role?
Required:
Perform daily reconcilement of high-volume accounts via the usage of automated reconciliation software, internal registry systems and external bank information within required timelines as set out in the policies and procedures.
Strong analytical skills requiring acute attention to detail in balancing transactional data and identifying the reconciliation break items.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to concisely document the item and initiate action to have the items cleared by the relevant operational departments.
Ability to utilize TEAMS to participate in training, meetings, ad hoc messaging with stakeholders.
Able to work independently to reconcile accounts and within a team to support colleagues when required.
Able to effectively meet daily deadlines.
3-5 years account reconciliation experience.
Preferred:
Collegiate / University level Finance / Accounting / Mathematics or equivalent.
