Team Rubicon Canada (TR Canada) is veteran-led humanitarian organization, built to serve global communities before, during, and after disasters and crises. Our people, known as Greyshirts, are the cornerstone of our mission and success. We are committed to fostering an environment that embodies the principles of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEI&B)—inclusive of beliefs, cultural backgrounds, job experiences, thoughts, and ideas—across all aspects of our operations.
We are seeking a Manager, Grants and Projects. You are a skilled fundraiser and storyteller who knows how to turn opportunity into impact. Reporting to the Director, Development, you’ll lead the sourcing, development, and management of government and foundation grants, ensuring every dollar fuels TR Canada’s mission to serve communities in need.
You’ll manage grants from start to finish: identifying opportunities, writing winning proposals, coordinating cross-functional inputs, ensuring compliance and reporting, and building strong relationships with funders. This is a high-impact, fast-moving role that sits at the intersection of storytelling, strategy, and service.
The right person is a self-starter, and team player with excellent oral and written communication experience and skills. Our culture requires individuals foolish enough to think they can change the world and competent enough to have a chance. Every day is a challenge, but every month brings new opportunities. This position can be hybrid or remote with some travel required.
Duties:
Lead the full lifecycle of grant management, from identification and application to onboarding, reporting, and close-out.
Develop compelling, high-quality proposals that align with TR Canada’s mission and funder priorities.
Collaborate across Development, Finance, Programs, and Communications to ensure accurate budgets, data, and storytelling.
Track and manage grant deliverables and reporting deadlines, ensuring full compliance and exceptional funder satisfaction.
Build and nurture strong relationships with grant-making partners and stakeholders.
Maintain an active pipeline of government and foundation funding opportunities.
Support cross-functional projects tied to funding, visibility, and impact.
Other duties as assigned.
Experience and Background
Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, Communications, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in grant writing, development, or fundraising.
Proven record of securing and managing six- and seven-figure grants from diverse funding sources.
Experience leading multi-stakeholder projects and meeting complex deadlines.
PMP designation or equivalent certification an asset.
Exceptional writing, project management, and organizational skills.
Proficiency with Bloomerang, iWave, Asana, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Passion for TR Canada’s mission and service ethos.
