Job Description Global Functions Technology (GFT) is part of RBC's Technology and Operations division. GFT's impact is far-reaching as we collaborate with partners from across the company to deliver innovative and transformative IT solutions. Our clients represent Risk, Finance, HR, CAO, Audit, Legal, Compliance, Financial Crime, Capital Markets, Personal and Commercial Banking and Wealth Management. We also lead the development of digital tools and platforms to enhance collaboration. What you will do Collaborate with Finance to manage the creation and management of the Group Operating Plan, including, Annual budget and forecasts; 2-year plan or rolling forecast; tracking actuals vs plan; spend vs budget; progress against plan; financial forecasting to transit Managers; FTE, contractors and professional fees budget; track group savings/cost containment/cost avoidance etc Perform necessary reporting to satisfy all Business and Finance requirements. Work with the respective Business Unit leads to identify cost saving opportunities and optimization initiatives Collaborate with Finance Teams globally to improve data integrity of the financial records. The role collaborates with financial advisors and supports Senior Leadership to ensure timely review of financial results Provide financial management support for projects and key initiatives Determine and assess cost drivers within the Tower to support analysis on cost trends and build out monthly and quarterly financial packages to be shared with senior leaders across Finance and HRCLAO IT Work directly with the Senior Director, HR Incentive Compensation Technology in building out annual plans aligned with the business strategy Identify / Report on key financial metrics to present overall HRCLAO IT’s financial story including efficiency metrics, cost and workforce composition. Partner with Finance and senior leadership team to ensure that NIE and project spend aligns to funding Represent financial and workforce information in executive level meetings Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders and effectively measuring key performance indicators for the portfolio Collaborate across multiple Business areas, ensuring financial and planning alignment What you need to Succeed Minimum 5 years of experience in financial statement preparation, budgeting, and forecasting Excellent communication skills and experience working with an Executive audience Strong attention to detail and business acumen Strong analytical and commentary skills to drive business insights actionable by senior leaders Excellent executive presence, with the ability to effectively communicate financial performance to senior leaders Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, with excellent data visualization skills Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Commerce (or equivalent experience) Nice to have Prior Big 4 or consulting experience MBA or advanced degree What’s in it for you?
