What You’ll Do
Role Summary
As a Senior Project Finance Specialist, you are the financial backbone of our projects and a strategic partner to our business. You will do more than just manage numbers; you will ensure the financial health and success of our projects by embedding yourself as a trusted advisor to our Service Delivery teams. By bridging the gap between finance and operations, you will provide the critical oversight, governance, and data-driven insights that empower our Project Managers and regional leaders to make sound decisions. Your role is pivotal in driving operational excellence, maintaining robust financial hygiene, and ultimately, ensuring we deliver exceptional value to our clients while fuelling our continued growth.
Essential Responsibilities
You will own the financial integrity of projects within your portfolio, blending tactical execution with strategic process improvement
End-to-End Project Financial Management: Drive the complete project lifecycle from a financial perspective, ensuring accuracy and compliance from initial client and project setup, through variations, to final invoicing and closeout.
Business Partnership & Advisory: Act as an advisor to Project Managers and General Managers. Lead monthly project status meetings, analyze project financial performance (including WIP and utilization), and provide actionable insights to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
Data Storytelling & Business Intelligence: Translate raw project and financial data into actionable business intelligence. You don't just report the numbers; you see the stories and solutions within them, creating compelling data visualizations and presentations to guide strategic decisions.
Invoicing & Accounts Receivable Excellence: Manage the entire invoicing process—from creating fixed-price, T&M, and hybrid invoices to ensuring timely submission and payment. Proactively manage accounts receivable by liaising with clients and internal teams to maintain healthy cash flow.
Data Integrity & System Governance: As a steward for our financial systems and a future subject matter expert on our processes, you will be responsible for maintaining pristine project data, performing regular audits, and supporting the technical team on system improvements and automation projects.
Process Improvement & Innovation: Apply a continuous improvement lens to all activities. Identify regional pain points and systemic issues, and take the initiative to design, propose, and implement more efficient processes and reporting solutions that enhance service quality and stakeholder satisfaction.
