Selling products for janitorial, safety, water and wastewater treatment, and residential cleaning. Enviroway is a pioneer in utilizing biotechnology to resolve wastewater management concerns.
About the Role
We are seeking a result-driven Procurement Manager that will ensure that the company is getting the best value for money while procuring goods and services from vendors, suppliers, distributors, etc. Key responsibilities include sourcing and negotiating with suppliers, managing inventory levels, controlling costs, optimizing transportation, and ensuring the supply chain meets demand efficiently and cost-effectively.
Responsibilities and Expectations
Plan and execute sourcing strategies that guarantee the best costs for raw materials and other goods for the company.
Finding vendors (manufacturers, distributors, etc.) that meet quality, flexibility, pricing, and delivery requirements through market analysis.
Negotiate contracts and deals with sellers and distributors during procurement and management of goods and services.
Place the approved orders with the supplier(s).
Keep vendor invoice posting accurately and up to date.
Oversee the procurement process from start to finish; maintain logs at every step of the way and follow up on its timely delivery.
Foster long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers who provide the best offers during supply chain procurement.
Boost cost savings by analyzing market trends and technologies that promote it
Negotiate with existing and potential suppliers and review the present contracts to ensure they accommodate the future scope of business for procurement and vendor management
Adhere to applicable legal frameworks and regulations while striking deals with distributors and vendors
Regular update vendor information and 3rd party vendor items i.e. all vendors contact details, freight information on the system.
Ensure all vendors POs are timely closed and ensure the timely delivery of goods and services.
Accurately post received goods.
Generate purchase orders to facilitate smooth receiving and vendor payment transactions.
Build and foster long-term relationships with existing and potential suppliers
Ensure purchased goods meet agreed standards and manage returns if they don’t.
Mitigate supply chain risks by diversifying suppliers, streamlining logistics operations, and planning alternatives for potential disruptions.
Desired Qualifications:
Supply Chain Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is preferred.
Prior experience (minimum of 5 years) working as a procurement manager in a manufacturing company setting is preferred. Experience in global procurement and strategy is an asset.
Exceptional negotiating skills.
Demonstrated skills and knowledge in procurement, purchasing, and sourcing practices.
Strong knowledge of ERP system, purchasing, scheduling, and planning in a manufacturing environment.
Attention to detail
Outstanding verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Experience in managing the procurement budget is an asset.
Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making.
Strong communication skills required, with ability to communicate effectively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, especially with Excel.
