Dispatcher - CALEDON EAST, ON Overview: At First Student, Dispatchers are a key part of our commitment to safety and customer service. The Dispatcher ensures on-time performance of routes, manages communications, and supports drivers and monitors. Responsibilities: Oversee all bus routes and scheduling Counsel and coach drivers and monitors Handle heavy phone and radio traffic Receive and report scheduling and driver complaints to the Operations Supervisor or Contract Manager Act as the primary communication liaison with contracted customers May manage charter reservations, billing, or driver payroll Provide solutions to drop-off and pick-up issues Perform back-up driver duties or clerical tasks as needed Complete special project assignments Assist in supervising day-to-day operations Requirements: 3–5 years of experience High school diploma or equivalent Basic knowledge of radio dispatch equipment Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to work under time constraints and meet deadlines Previous experience in terminal operations, dispatch, or as a driver Computer literacy Why Join Us?
