Position Summary
As a System Administrator/DBA (System Developer) in our International Service Delivery group, you will be responsible for configuring, virtualizing, managing and maintaining the IT infrastructure and databases of CBN deployed solutions for our government customers around the world. In this position you will provide ongoing support and tune and optimize their performance to ensure they remain highly available, reliable, and secure.
Responsibilities
System Administration
Install, configure, virtualize, and maintain servers, networks, and other IT infrastructure components. Leverage automation tools to enhance outcomes.
Database Administration
Collaborate with DBAs to design, implement, and maintain database systems to ensure data integrity, security, and performance.
Performance Monitoring and Tuning
Monitor system and database performance, identify issues, and optimize performance.
Security Management
Implement and manage security measures to protect systems and databases from unauthorized access and threats.
Backup and Recovery
Develop and implement backup and recovery plans to ensure data protection and availability.
Troubleshooting and Support
Provide technical support for system and database-related issues, including troubleshooting and resolving problems.
Documentation
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system and database configurations, changes, processes, and procedures.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology (or a related field) or an equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience.
Certifications (assets)
CompTIA Server+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or similar certifications are assets.
Knowledge
System administration principles, database management principles, network protocols, security best practices.
Experience
5-7 years of experience in system administration with database exposure.
