Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure all orders are reviewed, processed, submitted and shipped on time
Ensure that all shipments meet the C-TPAT requirements
Ensure all delivery appointment are made
Coordinate and maintain material locations
Backup Forklift Operators, Order Pickers and Shipping Supervisor when required
Coordinate the backup for shunt services of Finished Goods and Raw Materials
Specific Tasks:
Ensure that all orders are submitted and shipped on time by making sure all shipping bills, dangerous goods and orders are completed and loaded onto trucks
Ensure that all shipments meet the requirements of the CTPAT by making sure that all paperwork and trailer notification has been completed as per the SOP Procedure
Review and process orders and transmit to the RF system through Mapics on a daily bases
Ensure all carries have been notified by phone and appointments have been made for the pick up of products
Coordinate and maintain material locations for accuracy for the verification of the picking list that is supplied to the Warehouse Supervisor
Backup when required for Shipping Supervisor, Forklift Operators, Order Pickers
Coordinate the labour for backup of receiving of Finished Goods and Raw Materials by contacting our contractor for shunt services via phone
Perform any other tasks/projects as assigned by superior
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in logistics or supply chain is an asset.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a receiving or warehouse role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Basic knowledge of the Mapics system
Basic knowledge of the RF scanning gun
Knowledge of chemical handling and safety procedures (WHMIS, TDG).
Experience with inventory management systems.
Valid forklift certification.
Excellent Communication skills in English, written/verbal
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Basic knowledge and experience in the daily operations of shipping personnel
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions:
Primarily warehouse and yard environment with exposure to chemicals and industrial equipment.
Must wear appropriate PPE and follow all safety protocols.
May require lifting up to 50 lbs and operating equipment in varying weather conditions.
