Department: Physical Plant Department's Website: Summary of Job Duties: The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for maintaining buildings, grounds, and equipment. This position reports to the Director of Physical Plant. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy. General Tasks Makes minor repairs to the interior/exterior of buildings and facilities Maintains furniture and equipment Employing basic skills in plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and mechanical Plant flowers, spread mulch and other landscaping/beautification needs Mows grass, cuts weeds, gathers, and removes trash from lawns.
