As a claims advisor, you make decisions about guidelines and actions to limit damage. You advise and assist partners on major losses and special risks. Your initiatives require extensive knowledge of your line of work. You prepare recommendations, solutions and action plans to efficiently manage properties. You help solve complex problems requiring comprehensive analysis and knowledge of your line of business. Coordination is critical, so you frequently interact with stakeholders working in other fields. Interpersonal savvy is therefore essential. More specifically, you will be required to : Diagnose the key issues involved in major claims and identify the steps needed to limit damage Analyze the work needed to bring premises up to standard Provide guidance to practitioners about the nature, scope and sequence of work Analyze quotes and negotiate rates for work Help institute new guidelines to limit damage.
