About the Role We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Co-op Student to join our Finance team as a Financial Accountant for the Winter semester (Jan-Apr). This is an excellent opportunity for a student pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and supportive environment. Key Responsibilities Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports Support account reconciliations and journal entries Help maintain general ledger accuracy and integrity Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities Assist with variance analysis and reporting Support internal audits and compliance activities Help with accounts payable/receivable processes as needed Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the finance function Perform ad hoc financial analysis and reporting tasks Qualifications Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) is an asset Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Strong communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment What You’ll Gain Practical experience in financial accounting and reporting Exposure to corporate finance operations and systems Mentorship from experienced finance professionals Opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects Development of technical and soft skills relevant to a career in finance Rewarding.
