Ross Video has an amazing opportunity on the XPression Product Team for the right individual. We are looking for a marketing centric technology leader who has experience managing graphics products in the video production market. This is not a growth space for a talented operator, but a chance for a product manager in the video production graphics space with the right qualifications to join the team with the fastest growing real-time motion graphics renderer in the industry.
The XPression Product Manager – Technical will handle OEM vendors, industry partners, standards adoption such as HDR/WCG, SMPTE ST 2110 and NMOS protocols, and our sports, MOS, House of Worship, and Corporate vertical integration. Inside of Ross Video there are many product teams which XPression shares the integration space, and this individual will work cross-discipline with all those teams to provide our customers with an outstanding experience in video production technology. Your work with the XPression team will help influence potential customers, engage existing customers, assist systems integrators, and business partners around the world.

What the job is all about:
To champion the XPression product line and OEM products from a technical perspective, while maintaining a deep, hands-on understanding of the technology of the products and their components. Under the supervision of the Director the selected candidate will be able to initiate and create sales enablement tools such as PowerPoint presentations, training videos, and application notes/white papers relating to the product line and the surrounding workflow tools. Assists in the execution of and/or participation in technical marketing activities related to the product line, including but not limited to:
Promotional literature, catalog, website, and other customer-facing content
Support moderation the XPression Online Forum
Create or collaborate in the creation of video tutorials for training and marketing purposes
Participate in trade show planning and execution
Write scripts and small software applications to demonstrate XPression functionality
Manage the Ross Video Karate Belt training program for XPression
Sales Support
Become the primary resource for technical questions about the product, configuration, and implementation of XPression in video workflows for simple and complex configurations
Attend weekly XPression, XPression BDM Strategy, and XPression R&D meetings
Participate in key customer demonstrations and proofs-of-performance sessions as needed
Work with the sales and marketing teams to design effective graphics workflows in the pre-sales process
Engage in competitive analysis of feature sets and pricing
Create sales enablement tools in collaboration with the Director
Assist KAM’s, RSM’s, BDM’s and Product Specialists with responses to tender documents and other technical questions
Act as an approver for XPression Configuration Worksheets (XCW)
Manage the Ross Inside Sales Training program (RIST)
Product Development
Attend weekly Platform Team meetings and provide technical guidance on the implementation and maintenance of new and existing XPression platforms and software tools
Work with the Development Team on product roadmap, development priorities, product direction, and new products – based on industry and customer trends
Give input on the user experience for new features
Maintain the JIRA and AHA! Systems for the XPression product team and ensure customer commitments are logged
Work closely with the Tech Writing Team and Product Specialists to produce accurate and maintain configuration guides, application notes, and user guides
Act as a technical liaison with OEM partners in collaboration with the Product Specialists • Work with the global Technical Sales and Solutions Architect teams to produce workflow and wiring diagrams for use of the sales team and implementation staff
Work with the Director and Platform Team on salesforce.com price list maintenance and proper BOM associations
Help to track and facilitate 3rd-party integration projects with the development and platform teams TITLE
Work with the Director, Platform Team, and Purchasing on workflows for 3rd party/OEM product procurement and pass-through protocols
Consult regularly with Technical Product Manager to make sure his vision and plans are being carried out in an effective manner
Interaction with the Ross Virtual Solutions, PIERO Sports Analysis, Raiden, XPression Maps, and other teams in the company on behalf of the XPression product team
Work with third-party development groups to support the integration of XPression into adjacent workflows
Other
Perform other related duties as required by the V.P of Product and Director of Graphics Product Management
Act as the technical bridge between the XPression team and Ross Technical Support
Lead initial conversations with OEM product vendors on behalf of product team
Procure and maintain XPression and OEM software/hardware for testing
Who you are:
Post-secondary degree or trade school diploma
Knowledge of broadcast graphics systems & IT workflows
Experience with Ross Video XPression real-time motion graphics
Demonstrated skills in newsroom MOS workflows, sports graphics, and automation
Understanding of traditional IT infrastructure tools (LDAP, OAuth 2.0, DNS, etc.)
Working skills with Windows Clustering
In-depth skills on virtual machine workflows (vSphere, vMotion, etc.)
Working knowledge of cloud-based workflows, specifically using AWS
Experience in SaaS workflows and business models
Proficiency in Serial Digital Video and SMPTE ST 2110 video standards
Proficiency in SMPTE ST 2110 NMOS standards
Background in programming, scripting, and databases is favored
Knowledge of graphic design and graphics production workflows TITLE
Work with asset management systems and production control room or master control room situations is a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Visio Traits:
