Operations Manager/Morning Show Host – Yellowknife, NT

Description:
Prepare and host live, locally focused and interactive morning radio show from 6am to 10am weekdays.
Be a part of the community, live, work and play in Yellowknife, NWT.
Be involved in programming initiatives across multiple markets. (promotions/contests/partnerships, on-site events, etc.) for the station.
Generate ideas and execution plans to help grow the brand across the region.
Make promotional appearances and voice track/production as required.
Oversee day to day operational needs for Vista Radio in NWT.
Assist in ensuring that the show run smoothly and all content including Ads are included and conform to CRTC rules and regulations.
Work closely with the Program Director and the General Manager/General Sales Manager on extending brand and gaining listenership both on air and online.
Voice tracking additional shifts for other dayparts or stations as required.
Voicing commercials for various Vista properties as assigned and as needed.
Be keen with using social media (Facebook, Twitter, TikTok and YouTube).
Be friendly and professional when representing station interests at community/station events.
Participate in weekly team meetings.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
On-Air host experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge with G-Selector or similar music scheduling software is an asset
Post Secondary Broadcast training from an accredited institution
A valid class 5 driver’s license
Demonstrated ability to use and excel with social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.)
Comprehensive knowledge or experience working in a small market is an asset
