Job Summary
Now, if you were to come on board as our Director of Catering & Retail, we'd ask you to do the following for us:
Develop and manage Food and Beverage operations for the Catering & Retail at the REAL District.
Hold team accountable to steps of service to deliver great guest service
Ensure team members have the tools necessary to complete their jobs
Ensure show quality standards are always maintained
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and guests, regularly obtaining feedback to improve operations
Support and communicate company initiatives
Ensure the execution of all menus, promotions and programs as outlined by the Director of Operations in accordance with Compass standards
Ensure that all security, safety, and sanitation standards are achieved
Achieve daily sales and assigned cost and budget goals
Provide operational planning to ensure adequate products and equipment are ordered for anticipated business levels
Practice proper product control and handling of all inventory and equipment
Follow and enforce responsible alcohol service policies
Forecast and adequately schedule team members to meet operational needs and desired targets
Interview, hire, train and develop team members according to Compass guidelines

At least five or more years of related hospitality catering management experience in a multi-unit food service environment.
Strong management skills, capable of motivating, leading and developing associates
Excellent client relationship-building and communication skills
Ability to control food and labour costs
Detail-oriented and a strong team player
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Proven Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable with utilizing multiple supporting programs
Must have ability to support managing larger groups in the main Retail Food operation
AFST (Advanced Food Safety Training)
