Position Overview
The Facilities Manager is responsible for managing, maintaining, and improving all company facilities including offices, production sites, and warehouses. This role ensures that buildings, utilities, and equipment operate efficiently, comply with safety and environmental regulations, and support Flow’s mission of sustainable operations.
You’ll collaborate to execute preventive maintenance programs, vendor relationships, space planning, while managing budgets and ensuring compliance with all legal standards.
Key Responsibilities
Facility Operations & Maintenance
Oversee daily operations of all Flow Hydration facilities, ensuring optimal functionality, safety, and cleanliness.
Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for equipment, utilities, and building systems (HVAC, lighting, water systems, etc.).
Manage facility inspections and coordinate repairs and upgrades as required.
Ensure minimal downtime and fast resolution of maintenance issues.
Vendor & Contractor Management
Source, negotiate, and oversee third-party vendors for janitorial, maintenance, landscaping, security, and other facility-related services.
Manage contracts, service-level agreements, and performance standards.
Health, Safety & Compliance
Ensure all facilities comply with local building codes, health and safety regulations, and environmental standards.
Maintain safety programs, emergency preparedness plans, and incident response procedures.
Partner with HR and EHS teams to promote a safe and sustainable workplace culture.
Budgeting & Reporting
Develop and manage facility budgets, capital expenditure (CapEx) projects, and cost-control initiatives.
Track and report on facility performance metrics, maintenance costs, and energy usage.
Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost savings.
Sustainability & Continuous Improvement
Lead projects that align with Flow’s sustainability mission energy conservation, waste reduction, and eco-efficient infrastructure.
Support implementation of sustainable materials, packaging storage, and renewable energy use in facilities.
Management
Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Logistics, Maintenance teams to support production and business objectives.
Serve as the primary point of contact for facility-related issues.
Collaborate with the landlord for updates.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
8-10 years of facilities management experience in manufacturing, food/beverage, or consumer packaged goods (CPG) environments preferred.
Project management experience and certification.
Strong understanding of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, water systems).
Experience managing budgets, contractors, and preventive maintenance programs.
Skills
Excellent organizational and project management skills.
Strong leadership and vendor management capabilities.
Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and other maintenance management systems.
Problem-solving mindset and ability to work under pressure.
