NOVIPRO, a consulting firm and strategic recruitment partner in the technology sector, has been mandated by an oil and energy industry organization to identify a Senior Systems and Network Administrator. This is a permanent, full-time, on-site position in downtown Montreal.

Responsibilities
Administer and evolve the organization's LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and security infrastructures
Oversee the operation and optimization of enterprise networking environments, including wireless systems
Manage server infrastructures, storage solutions (NAS/SAN), and enterprise backup environments
Contribute to infrastructure projects: deployments, upgrades, architecture redesigns, and performance improvements
Plan and implement software and firmware updates across infrastructure components
Prepare configurations for both hardware and software deployments
Analyze network performance, resolve bottlenecks, and propose technical enhancements
Provide advanced technical support (Level 2 and 3) to internal stakeholders
Maintain detailed technical documentation, including configurations and architecture diagrams

Operating Systems: Windows Server (2012 through 2025)
Virtualization: VMware ESXi 8
Backup Solutions: Veeam Backup & Replication
Network and Security: Cisco Meraki, Cisco Umbrella, Duo Security, Fortinet FortiGate

Required Expertise
Advanced knowledge of dynamic routing protocols and VPN technologies
In-depth expertise with next-generation firewalls, especially Fortinet FortiGate
Proficient in Cisco networking solutions, including Meraki and switching environments
Strong understanding of LAN/WAN architecture and physical networking components (switches, routers, wireless access points)
Experience managing storage systems (NAS/SAN) and Veeam-based backup environments
Familiarity with Microsoft server technologies and infrastructure management tools
Ability to produce and maintain high-quality technical documentation
Certifications in Fortinet, Cisco, or Microsoft technologies are strong assets
