Job Description
Manage various projects involving modifications to machinery and safety guard installations in our plants.
Coordinate project activities, manage their timelines and budgets.
Manage the bidding process for design and construction.
Award contracts through the purchasing department.
Plan and monitor the work.
Work closely with various engineering, health and safety, production, and maintenance departments.
Provide monthly reports on the progress of activities.
Qualifications
Project management experience (minimum 2 years)
Proficiency in English and French (oral and written)
Leadership skills
Must be available for travel
Detail-oriented, rigorous, and analytical
Strong organizational and priority management skills
Member of the OIQ (Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec)
Excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate meetings with internal departments and external engineering firms
Experience in mechanical design
Knowledge of the RSST (Regulation respecting occupational health and safety) and various machine safety standards (an asset)
