Job Type: Permanent THE POSITION Keyera is currently seeking one Engineer-in-Training (EIT) for our 2026 EIT Program. This exciting and dynamic role is within our Operations Engineering group (Gathering & Processing North Division) which will encompass facility work, projects and construction. The initial assignment will be based at our Wapiti Facility, an hour south of Grande Prairie. Keyera’s EIT Program will include two other moves (Calgary or Edmonton) to other teams (16 months each) to allow the successful candidate to further explore other functional groups such as Technical Services (Asset Integrity, Discipline Engineering, Asset Management & Reliability, Measurement & Analytics as well as Quality Assurance) and Major project execution teams. RESPONSIBILITIES Working with the Engineering and Operations Teams, you will learn how to monitor performance and troubleshoot issues in the plant. Support facility operation and maintenance departments (multi-disciplinary engineering functions). Become familiar with governing codes, learn best practices of application, and perform design calculations. Learn how to use the MOC Process and facilitate MOC execution and implementation. Develop, justify, and execute facility-based projects, including feasibility studies, economic evaluation, engineering design, tender/bid packages, project scheduling, and cost control Prepare and maintain technical drawings and documentation. With the support of a mentor, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders such as Business Development, Operations, Technical Services, Construction, Supply Chain Management and various other stakeholders. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering from a recognized University. Provide proof of registration with APEGA with membership in good standing. Internships/Co-op/ summer placements in the Oil and Gas or Midstream space are considered an asset. You have a passion for the field – you are eager to see equipment firsthand and spend time with Operations and Maintenance. You are passionate about working as part of a team to solve problems and implement innovative, cost effective, and high-quality solutions. You combine the theoretical with the hands on in this role. You are a courageous safety leader who works to ensure your work, your team’s work and the facilities are safe, but you also recognize that safety goes beyond the facility and into your home. You are comfortable with technical writing, presentation skills and knowledge transfer to various stakeholders. Position requires a valid driver’s license. This role requires the candidate to wear respiratory protective equipment. As per Alberta OHS 250(2), the candidate must ensure an adequate seal where the face piece of the equipment seals to the skin of the face.
