The 2025-26 faculty grid for this position is $73,263 to $112,656 based on years of experience and a Bachelor of Education. Faculty with a Masters will be paid at a higher range.

What You’ll Do
Teach IB Diploma Economics (SL & HL) and MYP Individuals & Societies courses (potentially including Grade 10 Global Citizenship).
Inspire students to excel in Economics and develop a deep understanding of global systems and decision-making.
Serve as a Homeroom Advisor and mentor for approximately 12 Senior School students.
Supervise Extended Essays and contribute to the broader IB Diploma community.
Engage in co-curricular programming such as clubs, athletics, or outdoor education.
Collaborate weekly with colleagues to design meaningful, inclusive, and innovative learning experiences.
For candidates with the right background and interest, there may also be opportunities to teach Theory of Knowledge (TOK) or other related subjects.
What You Bring
A passion for teaching and inspiring young people through inquiry, challenge, and care.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience teaching humanities or social sciences.
A Bachelor’s degree in Education (or equivalent) and eligibility for BC teaching certification.
Knowledge of and commitment to the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
A collaborative mindset, strong communication skills, and a genuine commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
Preferred:
Experience teaching IB DP Economics.
Involvement in the IB Educator Network (e.g. Workshop Leader, Examiner).
Experience teaching TOK or Geography.

The final salary offer will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience in accordance with BC labour laws and company policies.
