Role Description
A key role on the People & Culture team, reporting to the Director, Human Resources, and supporting the Commissionaires Nova Scotia portfolio, the Outreach & Recruitment Manager will be responsible for leading strategic recruitment initiatives to attract top talent, while simultaneously fostering inclusive hiring practices. In addition to leading the end-to-end recruitment process, this role will focus on building and maintaining partnerships and relationships across the province to support both the social causes of the organization as well as the hiring of diverse groups, including veterans.

Your responsibilities will include:
Serve as an Ambassador for the organization by being visible at various public events, developing important external connections with key individuals and key organizations;
Develop outreach programs and initiatives that promote the overall brand and social mandate of the organization;
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align partnership efforts with diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) goals;
Track and report on partnership outcomes, including candidate referrals, engagement metrics, and impact assessments;
Manage the full-cycle, end-to-end recruitment process for a wide range of positions within the organization, including targeted recruitment efforts for various designated groups to meet our client's social mandate;
Provide oversight and management to the recruitment team, assigning tasks and ensuring all districts are covered from a recruitment perspective;
Analyze databases and metrics to understand recruitment effectiveness, and make adjustments to recruitment strategy as needed;
Identify, initiate, and maintain strategic partnerships/relationships with community organizations, educational institutions, associations, and government agencies.
Your Qualifications

Qualifications include:
3-5 years of progressive experience in Outreach/Recruitment, with preference given to those that have held a managerial role;
Superior attention to detail and demonstrated professionalism in delivering high-quality customer service;
Experience working with veteran organizations or with the Canadian Armed Forces/RCMP would be considered a strong asset;
Demonstrated success in building partnerships and community engagement;
Experience sourcing top talent using various recruitment channels, including social media, resume mining, referral programs, networking, and more;
Strong understanding of EDI principles;
Superior communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with the ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality;
Strong MS Office and computer aptitude skills are required, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint;
Experience working with BambooHR and a CRM system would be considered an asset;
CPHR designation would be considered an asset.
