Salary: $43,479.80 - $54,345.20 per annum (commensurate based on experience)

Job Description
Position Summary
This position is responsible to provide administrative and clerical support to the teaching Chiropody clinic – Chiropody students, clinical staff and patients. This unique teaching clinic has 15 treatment rooms that support both the patient and the academic curriculum for our chiropody students.
Responsibilities
Greeting and communicating with patients, students and employees – in person, telephone, writing
Answer and respond to all internal/external phone calls, emails and inquiries
Process payments, create receipts and reconcile billings for patients and the finance department
Input information into electronic medical patient charts
Schedule patient appointments and maintain the appointment calendar efficiently
Work with external vendors and agencies
Maintains confidentiality
Order/receive supplies and organize inventory
To assist in ensuring efficient operation of the clinic
Overseeing appointment payments, receipts and transactions
Write a variety of formal notes and records such as meeting minutes
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
1-3 years experience in customer service environment
Medical Office Assistant Diploma or equivalent an asset
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer/student focus
Previous experience with Telus PS Suite Electronic Medical Record would be an asset
Proficient computer skills and speed accuracy for typing
Proficient in MS Office programs at an intermediate level
Strong organizational skills and multitasking abilities
Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Good judgment, independent decision making and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of health care environments and familiarity with medical health terminology an asset
Quick learner and able to adapt to a variety of task requests and respond to the needs of various team members
Satisfactory Canadian Police Clearance document required upon hire
