Air Liquide is Hiring for a Technician - Level 1 ● This position will be locations at our St-Julie facilities Recruiter ● Manon Belanger / manon.belanger@airliquide.com / 514-241-9029 Job Description Summary: Under the direction of the branch manager, the incumbent repairs, reconditions, and maintains motor-driven welding equipment and generators, and ensures that the work environment is safe. Key Responsibilities Ensure a safe working environment by complying with Airgas/Red-D-Arc health and safety guidelines. Repair and refurbish all electric drives and motors. Assemble electric, diesel, gas, and propane equipment for rental. Test and calibrate machines to ensure they are functional for rental or sale. Repaint parts, touch up paint, and apply decals to welders to maintain overall appearance. Replace defective parts and perform necessary preventive maintenance. Order parts needed to perform repairs. Inspects returned equipment to ensure that it is functioning properly and/or has not been damaged by the customer. Uses a forklift, pallet jack, or other necessary equipment to store the required parts in the workshop. Ensures that the work environment is always clean and organized. Prepares and completes documentation for all machine repairs. Occasionally, provides after-sales service for equipment and customers off-site. Maintains communication with all branch staff. Occasionally advises customers on the equipment best suited to their projects. #LI-DNI ____ Are you a MATCH? Required Qualifications Education: Post-secondary education equivalent to one year of study at a technical college or equivalent is an asset. Experience: 2 to 3 years of related technical experience. Working knowledge of power generation and welding equipment, applications, and welding equipment is an asset. Must have a valid driver's license. Preferred Qualifications Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Ability to multitask and work independently with little supervision. Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment. Ability to make critical decisions while adhering to company procedures. Ability to proactively address or find solutions to work-related issues.
