Front-End Class 3 Driver

Summary:
The Front-End Class 3 Driver will be responsible for operating Front-End trucks. This role supports public health by ensuring timely service, adherence to safety and environmental regulations, and respectful interaction with the community.
Responsibilities:
In the position of Front-End Driver, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
The safe and efficient operation of a Front-Load trucks
Must have excellent knowledge of and be familiar with the roads in Halifax, Dartmouth and surrounding areas
Ensure Customers are serviced as per their contractual requirements and schedules
Physical ability to safely push and pull various sizes and weights of containers in and out of enclosures and rooms. Unlocking and locking of containers and enclosures/rooms
Demonstrate excellent customer service skills
Meet or exceed performance and productivity expectations through proven results
Comply with all Miller Waste System and Provincial health and safety policies and procedures
Effective use of tablets, including weights entered & photos of blocked calls
Competencies & Qualifications:
Must adhere to Miller Waste System safety protocols and must be familiar with the Occupational Health & Safety Act
Clean drivers abstract and no preventable accidents in the past year
Excellent organizational skills
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
Flexibility with your work schedule is necessary as start and end times may vary. Statutory Holidays and / or Saturdays will be required at times
Effective written and verbal communication is mandatory
Excellent attendance and performance record
