Key Responsibilities: Establishing seasonal merchandise and financial plans Create a breakdown of financial targets by department and provide guidelines Generate and deliver reports for Buying season Planning - Assortment/Fashion, provide analysis and insights, working with Buyers Create initial allocations with the Buying team Support the Harry Rosen merchandising philosophy and direction, which is tailored based on the individual store profile and the unique needs of that store Provide financial metrics where needed and maintain successful vendor relationships Managing inventory to ensure that gross margin return on inventory is maximized – maintain basic stock, maintain and monitor current OTB, schedule deliveries, rebalance merchandise, and recall goods Inventory Management of seasonal backup, warehouse inventory, and basic stock programs Conduct monthly rebalance/consolidation of inventory Manage vendor deliveries, OTB, receipts, transfers, and inventory corporately Review online performance to ensure sales/inventory meets demand and perform audits/maintenance Review Outlet transfers with the Buying team Maintaining open communications with Store and Central Office Management Functioning as ‘merchant in the field’ – engage in ongoing communication with key members of the Operations group and within the Buying team.
