Applications are invited for the position of Part-Time Professor, Early Childhood Education within the School of Community Services. This position will commence January 2026 at the Welland Campus.
Required qualifications:
Early Childhood Education Diploma
Registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators of Ontario
Minimum of 5 years current practical work experience in the ECE field in a variety of settings
Thorough knowledge of the multi-dimensional nature of the ECE field
Proven dedication to excellence in teaching and learning practices as well as co6mmitment to student success
Past record of forging strong working relationships with peers and co-workers
Indication of contribution to a strong team environment and positive work culture
Evidence of commitment to guiding and supporting post-secondary students toward success
Demonstrated ability to work with diverse post-secondary student populations
Experience using various computer software packages including Microsoft Office and Learning Management Systems (D2L Brightspace)
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong organizational, problem solving, and analytical skills
Previous experience in adult training/education
Knowledge and or experience in the implementation of emergent curriculum / inquiry based learning and pedagogical documentation.
Preferred candidates may also possess:
Degree in a related field
Demonstrated competency in curriculum design, delivery and evaluation at the post secondary level
Experience in hybrid teaching / asynchronous teaching
