Ready to be part of the action? This role is hybrid (2 - 3 days/week in the office) - based in Montreal, QC. Reporting to the Executive Director, you will provide quantitative support for strategic initiatives in Canada’s futures and options markets. You will perform statistical analysis on exchange data, learn the business and cater the analysis to make it relevant to the business, organize the results of the analysis visually to form a logical narrative, and explain the results to stakeholders to support recommendations on market design. You will attend calls with stakeholders and present the results of their analysis before wider groups. Key Accountabilities: Conduct research, in which you have the choice of how to conduct an inquiry, working in dialogue with product owners and sales staff to understand what methods and results would be most relevant to business needs. Help the business understand recent changes in the market or in its operations, providing quantitative or graphical materials on the use of products, on client outcomes, and on the effect of commercial activities such as incentive programs and fee structures. Produce and update corporate and client presentations. Produce revenue projections and model scenarios, providing forecasts in order to help with annual budgeting and prioritization. Attend client calls to learn the market and its value to users. Support business development, and where necessary, attend corporate and client meetings. Develop relationships with internal stakeholders and business partners. Develop an understanding of enterprise initiatives and prepare materials to communicate predicted impacts to stakeholders. Conduct periodical statistical reporting pertaining to various aspects of the business to identify relevant market trends and to cater to client requests. Maintain quantitative documents that support operations and internal planning. Must haves: 1 to 2 years experience Undergraduate degree in finance, economics, mathematics, computer sciences, financial engineering, econometrics, or actuarial sciences Experience with quantitative tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, SQL,) Sense of planning and organization Ability to create and maintain harmonious, effective interpersonal relations Attention to detail Able to conduct open-ended analysis Comfortable in “gray zones” in which it is not obvious how to proceed Able to do public speaking and want to sharpen your presentation skills Curious and self-driven with a desire to learn Good communication, both written and verbal Fluency in French and English (spoken and written) is essential for this position, as it involves producing documentation in English and French for external and internal stakeholders who communicate mainly in English and French.
