Orla is advancing permitting and development on our South Railroad Project, a feasibility-stage, open-pit heap leach project located on the prolific Carlin trend in Nevada. This project is part of our larger South Carlin Complex which includes a prospective land package. We also operate the Camino Rojo Oxide Gold Mine, a gold and silver open-pit heap leach mine, located in Zacatecas State, Central Mexico. This low-cost operation is 100% owned by Orla, covers over 139,000 hectares, and includes a large sulphide mineral endowment located beneath the oxide resources. Orla also operates the Musselwhite Mine located in Northern Ontario, a gold mine with more than 25 years of operating history and the potential to expand resources and mine life for years to come.

Purpose:
We are seeking a Site Technology Superintendent reporting directly to the Site Business Manager to Manage and deliver technology services and projects to support all site operations. Partner with mining and processing organizations and assist in the implementation of enterprise strategies. Ensure all technology activities provide the best possible user experience, shortest possible incident resolution time, and maximize service uptime through efficient operation of the site's IT services and infrastructure.
Responsibilities include:
• Lead and maintain the site technology team
• Provide technology leadership to support operations
• Engage with operational leaders to understand and align needs with local and enterprise technology strategies
• Coordinate technology project implementations in alignment with global standards and initiatives
• Prepare and manage capital and operating budgets for the department
• Manage multiple site projects and budgets
• Accountable for all aspects of developing and implementing technology initiatives at site
• Ensure compliance with all global and local Safety policies, processes and procedures
• Manage vendor/consultant relationships
Skills and Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related field
• 5+ years in a supervisory or managerial IT role
• 5+ years performing a mine site-based technology role
• 5+ years project management experience
• 8+ years in networking and server infrastructure services or technical support role
• Broad knowledge of all technology considerations (performance, scalability, maintainability, deployment, operations, technology infrastructure)
• Possess strong technology knowledge and understanding with deep skills in technology operations, customer relationship management and outsourcing vendor relationship management
• Proven ability to discuss voice and data network concepts and strategies in simple, clear terms to help drive and influence decision making of business and application owners
• Strong mix of business, functional, and technical skills
• Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills
• Self-driven employee, with a proactive and strategic vision of technology
• Ability to effectively plan and control projects
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with vendors, subordinates, colleagues, clients and customers at all levels
Working Conditions:
• The work schedule for this position is 4 days on, 3 days off, working 10-hour days at the Musselwhite Mine.
