Cosmetica is seeking a driven Digital Marketing Manager who has a passion for using technology and analytics to tell meaningful brand stories. The ideal candidate is a hands-on digital strategist with a strong understanding of B2B marketing in the beauty or manufacturing industry. The position will be based out of Cosmetica’s headquarters in Toronto and will report to the Director of Marketing and Product Development.
Cosmetica’s integrated Marketing Team develops and oversees the organization’s branding, marketing campaigns, digital strategy and tactical execution. As part of the team, you will have a unique opportunity to work alongside world-class brands and leaders in the beauty space.
The Digital Marketing Manager plays a key role in developing and executing Cosmetica’s digital marketing strategy to elevate brand presence, strengthen customer engagement, and drive business growth. This role combines strategic thinking, creative execution, and data-driven insights to optimize performance across digital channels, including web, social, email, and paid media.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Strategy & Leadership
Develop and execute a comprehensive digital marketing strategy aligned with Cosmetica’s business objectives and brand positioning
Lead digital campaigns that enhance awareness, generate qualified leads, and strengthen brand loyalty
Support the Marketing Director in developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns across digital, social, trade, and experiential channels
Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Product Development, and Sales teams to ensure message and brand alignment
Draft quarterly Client Newsletter and curate effective monthly Blog content using the brand voice
Coordinate photoshoot planning, logistics and execution with agency partners. Work with team to evaluate creative, offer feedback and make final selections
Social Media Content Strategy & Creation
Develop and execute engaging beauty-inspired social media strategies across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn) that align with brand objectives and drive measurable growth.
Develop content strategies that highlight innovation, sustainability, and Cosmetica’s industry leadership
Collaborate with agency and internal teams to optimize online presence, social media engagement, and community growth
Manage paid media campaigns (Google Ads, LinkedIn, Meta, etc.) to drive engagement and lead generation
Conceptualize and create visually stunning digital assets, including graphics, videos, animations, and campaign visuals, ensuring brand consistency and high creative standards
Oversee the content calendar and manage end-to-end campaign execution, from ideation to publication and performance tracking
Creative Direction
Lead the creative process and design for all digital marketing initiatives, events/trade shows, social media, client presentations, ensuring cohesive brand storytelling across all touchpoints
Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies or freelancers to produce innovative campaigns, ensuring visual excellence and strategic alignment
Maintain and evolve brand guidelines to support fresh, modern, and consistent design language
Marketing & Brand Management
Oversee the creation, scheduling, and optimization of digital content across the website, social media, and email marketing channels
Maintain brand consistency across all marketing materials, packaging, and communications
Manage the development of marketing assets, product visuals, and promotional materials
Lead the creation of product claims, marketing copy & education materials by working cross-functionally with the product development team
Supports creation and refinement of brand and product messaging, ensuring key messaging is consistent across all digital touchpoints
Support the planning and execution of product launches, trade shows, influencer activations and events
Coordinate logistics, vendor relationships, and post-event performance analysis
Website & SEO Optimization
Maintain and update the digital showroom
Manage the company website to ensure content accuracy, design optimization, and user experience (UX)
Implement SEO and SEM best practices to improve organic visibility and traffic
Monitor analytics and make data-driven recommendations to improve website performance and conversion
Analytics & Reporting
Track and analyze performance across all digital platforms to measure effectiveness, identify trends, and optimize campaigns for stronger ROI.
Deliver regular performance insights and actionable recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.
Stay current with digital trends, emerging technologies, and evolving social media and beauty industry landscapes to guide creative and strategic decisions.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
5–7 years of progressive experience in digital marketing; experience in beauty, skincare, or consumer goods is preferred.
Expertise with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere) and Canva is required
Proven experience managing paid and organic digital campaigns (Google Ads, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Meta Business Suite, etc.).
Strong understanding of SEO/SEM, web analytics (Google Analytics, GA4), CRM tools, and marketing automation platforms.
Proven experience with content creation, social media platform management, and B2B lead generation.
Excellent project management, communication, organization, and analytical skills.
Creative mindset with a strong eye for visual branding and storytelling, passion for the beauty industry and digital innovation
Excellent visual sense, copy awareness, and attention to detail.
A strong portfolio showcasing design work and digital campaigns.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Google Analytics, and CRM tools
Creative thinker with strong attention to detail and a data-driven mindset
Strong interpersonal savvy, works effectively with internal teams, stakeholders and external partners
Experience with event planning and tradeshow coordination
