We’re seeking a dedicated Reproduction Coordinator to lead our reproductive team
and provide structure, communication, and leadership to one of the most dynamic
departments in our practice.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Mare Handlers are an integral and essential part of the Reproduction Team. They
assist the reproduction veterinarians with in-patient treatments as well as
daily appointments and duties. This position is especially valuable to students
who are keen to learn more about equine reproductive medicine.
Key Responsibilites:
- Catching and handling recipient or client mares as needed or directed to
reproduction appointments and proceures
- Handling foals for neonatal exams and treatments.
- Assistance with admitting mares and foals to the reproduction department.
- Medication administration (if skills allow for this)
- Assisting veterinarians with diagnostics, treatments and procedures.
- Medication preparation as required.
- Clean and restock recipient mare and/or repro barn.
- Daily cleaning duties in repro clinic.
- Attend daily reproduction meetings.
- Attend monthly staff meetings.
- Assist and train new mare handlers as required.
- Other duties as assigned.

Employment Type: Full time, seasonal with considerations for year round for
the right candidate.

Schedule: Beginning of April to mid/late August. 4 days on + 4 days off, 7 am
to 6 pm or 8am to 7pm

Compensation: Competitive wage based on experience.
