Your role The Radio-Canada Regional Media finance team that handles budgetary reporting and analysis is looking for an Accounting Officer. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Controller. You will perform accounting and administration duties and carry out tasks to ensure that requests are processed in line with corporate policies, standards and procedures. You will be responsible for entering, processing and interpreting data essential to your department’s operations. You will gather information and take action in response to internal and external service requests, ensuring that the relevant procedures and policies are followed and performing administrative duties required to run the department. You will be responsible for interpreting financial management standards, policies and procedures, and will advise managers in resolving any issues that arise in processing financial data, reporting, etc. You will contact internal clients to follow up on contractual obligations. Your role will also involve generating payments once these have been confirmed. You will work on a regular basis with a variety of departments across Radio-Canada. What You Bring Bachelor’s degree in administration (accounting or finance option), an asset, and one year’s experience; or a college diploma (DCS) in administration and at least two years’ experience; or seven years’ experience performing related duties. Ability to manage priorities, be organized and work well under tight deadlines. Ability to be thorough, meticulous, accurate, resourceful, discreet, concise, curious and adapt easily to new computer tools. Interest in and knack for optimizing tools and procedures. Excellent interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills. Proficiency with the Microsoft Office and Google Workspace suites. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Solid command of spoken and written French (working language). Knowledge of English an asset. Shortlisted candidates will be tested as follows: Excel test. Interview.
