The purpose of the Building and Property Services Lead (Terminal Lead) is to support the Terminal in its day-to-day operation. Your goal will be to maintaining a safe and organized environment for all staff to work in. This will include coordinating and managing contractors and ensuring all necessary repairs are made in a timely and cost-effective manner. Specific Responsibilities include: Support with yard maintenance. This will include garbage cleanup, yard lighting, gate maintenance & trouble shooting, snow/ice removal and winter preparation. Support with office and building maintenance. This will include maintaining and periodic test of all fire monitoring equipment, change out ceiling tiles, maintaining lighting and general repairs/installation of office equipment. Work with vendors to ensure safe operations in a cost-effective manner. Maintain a high level of security of the terminal supporting Birds Eye. Support Bison Transport policies and procedures by engaging in the resolution of any safety concerns. Liaison between Maintenance Coordinators, Dock Coordinators, Shop Manager & Dock Manager. Participate and make necessary repairs from all inspections. Miscellaneous duties as assigned/required. Our Ideal Candidate will possess: Demonstrated experience in facility and property maintenance, including basic repairs and upkeep. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams such as Maintenance Coordinators and Dock Team Members. Solid organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently. Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive working relationships across departments. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment. Adaptable and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Physically able to perform manual labor and outdoor tasks in varying weather conditions. Forklift training or certification is considered an asset. First Aid certification is considered an asset. This position is subject to a Monday to Friday schedule working an 8 hour shift. This job is classified under NOC Code: 73201.
