Operations Management
Oversee all plant operations, including production, maintenance, logistics, and quality control.
Develop and implement production schedules and ensure timely completion of manufacturing goals.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to productivity, efficiency, quality, and safety.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
Leadership & People Management
Lead, mentor, and develop supervisory and production staff to build a high-performing team.
Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Identify training needs and support employee development initiatives.
Safety & Compliance
Ensure the facility maintains a strong health and safety culture through regular training, audits, and corrective actions.
Maintain compliance with provincial, federal, and company safety standards and policies.
Ensure the facility is maintained in a clean, organized, and safe condition at all times, promoting pride in the workplace and compliance with 5S principles.
Quality & Continuous Improvement
Ensure product specifications and customer standards are consistently met.
Identify and implement process improvements to reduce waste, downtime, and costs.
Financial & Strategic Management
Analyze production data and financial reports to identify areas for efficiency gains.
Collaborate with senior leadership to develop strategic plans to support growth and competitiveness.
Inventory Management
Oversee all aspects of tire and materials inventory, including raw materials, finished goods, and retread casings.
Ensure accurate inventory counts, proper rotation, and traceability through regular cycle counts and audits.
Implement best practices for inventory storage, labeling, and control to minimize waste and damage.
Communication & Collaboration
Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and timely order fulfillment.
Provide regular reports on plant performance, production schedules, inventory levels, and operational challenges to senior management.
Support company initiatives related to sustainability, innovation, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
7–10 years of progressive experience in manufacturing or production operations, tire, rubber, or automotive industry considered an asset.
Proven leadership experience managing large teams in a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment maintenance, and production scheduling.
Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and other process improvement initiatives to reduce waste and downtime.
Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and quality assurance.
Proficient in production reporting tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
