What You’ll Be Doing
Duties and Responsibilities:
Deliver/pick up and setup/dismantle perimeter fencing and edge protection equipment.
Load and unload perimeter fence and edge protection; secure loaded equipment per company procedure and inspect in transit if necessary.
Perform vehicle inspections daily, as well as checking gas, oil and other fluid levels.
Advise customers on application and installation instruction.
Secure customer signature on contract, if not already signed.
Inform supervisor of difficulties with deliveries or pickups.
Inform management of new sales opportunities and job sites.
Double check delivered items to make sure customers receive exactly what they ordered.
Communicate with dispatch if behind schedule, so customers may be notified
Maintain accurate delivery and pickup records.
If damages are observed upon pick up, fill out the appropriate forms and get the customer’s signature. Turn in these forms to Dispatch/Branch Manager, along with pick up sheets.
Tag and move broken equipment to repair area.
Keep the truck in clean and professional condition at all times.
Complete daily accurate pre-inspections and post-inspections regulatory logs and timesheets.
What You’ll Bring to the Team
Qualifications and Requirements:
Valid Class DZ driver’s license with a driver’s abstract (no more than three demerit points). You will be required to provide a copy of your updated driver’s abstract upon request.
Minimum 3 years of experience with towing a trailer as well as with strapping and loading onto a truck.
Comfortable with working outdoors year-round and driving in varying weather / road conditions.
Comfortable with manual transmission.
Comfortable with city driving.
Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods. Must be able to lift approximately 50 lbs and be comfortable with lifting heavy fence panels / edge protection solutions.
Highly safety-focused and professional; take pride in your vehicle and your responsibility as a driver.
Available and willing to work overtime when required and on an on-call rotation if required.
Flexibility; must be comfortable with managing and adapting to multiple changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
Excellent problem-solving and organization skills.
Strong team-player with effective communication skills; must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with customers and colleagues.
Self-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as with a team.
