Job Responsibilities: The Maintenance Millwright is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial machinery and mechanical equipment within the facility. This role involves troubleshooting mechanical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring the efficient operation of all machinery. The Maintenance Millwright works closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and other team members to support the smooth functioning of production processes. **Please note this vacancy is for an Afternoon Shift Maintain all production and related equipment to ensure quality parts are produced; modify existing equipment; and install new equipment/services as required. Troubleshoot and diagnose system faults, tune equipment, ensure adequate control and security measures are established and enforced. Accurately complete required reports daily or as required. Maintain a safe and clean work place environment. Assist in the maintaining of inventory levels in all maintenance stock cabinets. Process needed requisitions for purchasing as required Perform all PM’s as distributed Be available for weekend work/overtime as required Perform all work in good standard and respond to off duty calls and work rotating shifts if required. Follow all work cell and/or department standardized work instructions/procedures Protect the company’s interest in respect to abuse or willful damage of tools and equipment Ensure, with the cooperation of other departments and Corporate that the division achieves and maintains the highest possible Customer rating for satisfaction; strive for zero defects in all areas of the business. Ensure compliance and enforcement of Customer Specific Requirements, QMS (IATF16949), Health and Safety (ISO 45001), EMS (ISO14001), and security (PIP) requirements. Initiate and/or participate in continuous improvement activities. Attend authorized training in order to develop and/or maintain relevant job-related knowledge, techniques, skills, and/or certification. May be required to carry out job duties and responsibilities in a work environment that may include, but is not limited to, varying levels of noise and/or temperature. Perform any other reasonable duty as required or assigned by Management. REQUIREMENTS: Must have a valid Industrial Mechanic Millwright- Red Seal License Minimum 5 years experience required Secondary School Diploma, or equivalent Firm understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics schematics Experience on large tonnage Engel molding machines preferred Good knowledge of machine shop practices and welding experience. Worked in an automotive / extrusion environment Certified forklift/scissor lift operator required Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal and analytical abilities Able to work well independently and within a group Proven experience in the maintenance of Facilities equipment and Plant equipment Hydraulics and Pneumatics experience preferred Able to use all hand tools, machine cutting tools including lathe and milling machines, welding experience required Able to use measuring tools, including vernier, caliper, micrometer, etc. Awareness, Unity, Empowerment: At Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
