As we grow, we are strengthening our financial foundation with a results-driven, process-minded, and collaborative Manager of Accounts Payable who will help lead the charge in optimizing our AP operations.

You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounts payable, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and excellence across vendor management, invoice processing, and payment cycles, while introducing new tools, processes, and insights that support CLV’s strategic growth.
As a key member of the Finance management team, you’ll combine technical expertise with strong people leadership, bringing innovation, accountability, and a service-first mindset to the department.

Leadership, Culture & Team Development
Build, develop, and inspire a high-performing Accounts Payable team.

Establish clear performance expectations and metrics; recognize high achievement and address challenges promptly and constructively.

Operational Excellence & Process Optimization
Lead the daily operations of Accounts Payable, ensuring timely and accurate invoice processing, approvals, and payments across CLV’s national portfolio.
Implement best practices and standardized procedures to ensure scalability, accuracy, and efficiency as the organization grows.
Drive continuous improvement and innovation, introducing automation, AI tools, and workflow enhancements to elevate performance and data integrity.
Strengthen internal controls, ensure proper documentation, and maintain compliance with financial policies, contracts, and audit standards.
Partner with Procurement and Operations to streamline purchasing-to-payment processes and enhance vendor relationships.
Reporting, Analysis & Strategic Contribution
Oversee accurate and timely preparation of AP reports, aging summaries, and KPI dashboards for leadership review.
Provide insights into payment trends, cash flow impact, and process efficiency to inform financial decision-making.
Support forecasting and cash management, aligning AP performance with corporate financial goals.
Collaborate closely with Finance leadership to ensure accurate accruals, expense allocations, and month-end reporting.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Integration
Play an active leadership role in process improvement initiatives resulting from acquisitions and system enhancements.
Collaborate with internal teams to align financial processes with operational goals, ensuring clear, professional, and timely communication with vendors and partners.
Serve as a key liaison between the Finance department and operational stakeholders, delivering solutions that balance precision with practicality.
About You
You are a detail-driven financial leader with a passion for process improvement and a mindset for growth. You are a respected and inspiring manager who combines deep accounting and analytical expertise with the ability to lead teams, drive change, and deliver measurable impact. You thrive in dynamic environments where systems are evolving and opportunities to innovate are encouraged.
Qualifications:
5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, with a minimum of 2 years in a management role overseeing AP operations.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, payment systems, and AP processes in a multi-site or multi-entity environment (real estate experience an asset).
Proven success leading teams through transformation, growth, or system integration.
Demonstrated experience improving AP efficiency through technology, automation, and performance tracking.
Advanced Excel and ERP proficiency (experience with Yardi or similar software preferred).
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or Business; CPA designation or working toward one considered an asset.
Bilingualism preferred to support national operations.
